Renee’s Reality - September, 2022

Cody Albrecht |

Welcome Everyone!

Happy Autumn! It’s a time for change, beautiful colors, back to school and enjoying family and friends.

This is my favorite time of year!  It also gets me back into a routine.

On a personal note: We’ve had lots of change.

My husband retired from his job in May and has been helping us in our NY office and our daughter in the FL office.  He has been spending more time with the grandsons than me! ☹

Both of our sons got married this year to our beautiful daughters-in-law. Cody also bought his first home and thinks homeownership is way overrated!

We feel extremely blessed!

I wish I could say the same positive things about the stock market but we all know the first half of the year was quite turbulent.

We have been in constant contact with all our companies, sending out market updates, and are always here for any client questions or concerns.

2022 was only the sixth time since 1926 that the S&P 500 fell over 15% in the first half of the year.  On each prior occasion, the S&P 500 rebounded in the second half of the year, gaining an average of 27%.

We don’t know if that is going to happen again this time, we only have historical data.  Peaking inflation and resilient growth make a soft landing more visible, but the path ahead may be narrow and bumpy.  We encourage investors to continue to seek diversification in both asset class exposures and investment strategies.

As always, my team and I are here for any questions or concerns you may have while navigating through these turbulent times.

All the best,

Renee
